Hello and welcome to a delayed week six in this story-telling adventure.
52 stories – number six- Old and new
My ‘test’ if you will, to knowing if I’ve succeeded in my quest to capture the story, will be that if I can just quote the journaling I’ve used on the page and not need/want to add anything here in the post to explain it further, then I have done it, I’ve got all the bits of the story down.
Here’s the story –
We had just come down California Street on the cable car and spotted them all lined up. A few taxis drove by and Gav remarked old and new. Love that comparison. And I love those cable cars so very much.
The takeaway from story number six/Would I add anything more?
I think that I am finding, as I suspected I would, a common flaw in my story telling. I’m too brief. I pop whatever comes into my head straight down on the page and call it good. Having said that though I have got the story down and the emotion of loving the cable cars.
This process is making me think quite hard about the stories I want to tell which is sort of what I was hoping for. So onward again we go.
52 stories is a year long series or adventure in my story telling. Can I get the whole story onto a layout? Am I telling the stories I want to tell? Read the inspiration post here.
