Project Life® – week 39 and 40

pl-wk-39-close-up

Week 39. We went away for a weekend in London this week which spilled over onto the following Monday. I had lots of photos so added a 6 x 12 page into the middle of the spread.

The left page are the days we were at home. And the 6 x 12 right page is the start of our trip.

I just adore the Amy Tangerine Yes Please transparent letter stickers. I put the ‘London Calling’ on the outside of the page protector as and introduction to the weekend. Here it is again.

And this it the next page. I used a different page protector for the right of this spread.

It doesn’t bother me that I have Monday from the next week in here as it was all part of the trip it seemed a natural thing to do.

And back home for week 40. I amended the dates of the week to show it was from the Tuesday rather than the Monday. The letter stickers here are Jilli Bean Soup in navy.

And back to just one page for this week. Again I am okay mixing up the layouts. Some weeks need a double page and others just don’t and I don’t want to fill up double pages just because. It’s good to vary things a little.

Christmas Projects 2013 – Festive frames

noel-1

Hello 3 December. We have a change to our usual Tuesday post of Photo a Day as I leant my SD card to my older niece without removing the pictures…. Duh!! So when I get it back later this week I’ll share the Photo a Day shots from last week.

Instead I have this festive idea that I was inspired to make from this pin.

What I used:

  • Four picture frames, the glass taken out.
  • Three white and one patterned cardstock cut to fit the aperture.
  • Four different sized and textured letters from my large stash of letters…

I coloured both the N and L (which is a Tim Holtz grungeboard one) with fired brick distress ink. The E is from a metal alpha set I have for a long time. And the O is a white chipboard one. I liked the white frame with the red background it adds a twist and a more festive feel to the group.

Simple, but effectively Christmassy.

December Daily™ – Day One

dd-1

Here we go again. I start this little album with anticipation of what delights the next 24 days will bring.

Had a fun-filled busy day yesterday with family. But as you can see from the photo on my page I didn’t capture that fun as it happened. This lack of photos came as a very early reminder that it is better to live the fun than photograph it and not to get hung up on the fact you think you missed something. It happens and I moved on and used what I had.

On the back of the cover page I put a die cut star and little bingo card that was from the ‘Say Cheese’ line from Simple Stories.

I added a handwritten tag to the envelope and tied gingham ribbon through the hole then some of my most favourite silver thickers which I stitched down.
