Here we go then with this years ‘foundation’ pages.
As I mentioned the other day I have constructed my album from scratch but have used some page protectors again this year.
The size is just larger than 6 x 8 to accommodate that size page protector. I have used a gold star acetate sheet at the front of the album.
Followed by a 12 pocket page. I may move this and also may add extra items into the pockets but for now I simply added pretty papers with some Christmas-y shapes.
You’ll notice that I’m using gold this year definitely new for me and I may leave out the red! Can’t believe I’m saying that but we’ll see.
Day one is a three pocket page. I added a polka dot embossed card to the top left with a number 1 loose and stitched a black hand cut felt star onto the plastic of the page using silver thread.
Also added a sequin or two.
Just added a number two onto that page and a large gold circle for day three with a number three attached and a card from one of Ali’s mini kits from last year that I got in the sale earlier this year.
The reverse of that 3 x 4 card is this lovely snow globe to which I added the number four.
For day five which is another three pocket page but a different orientation I added some paper from that mini kit and a piece of acetate with white polka dots on it.
The number five was adhered to that and I stapled it into the pocket. Love the see through elements of these albums.
I slipped a felt number six into the next page and a number seven attached to a die cut circle with another card from the kit added in too.
Just to remind me that I should add a few pages not inside the pockets I cut down a piece of patterned paper and added that into the album in between day eight and nine.
I seem to have missed day ten and eleven…. But here is day twelve and you can see the glittery numbers below for day ten.
Another piece of acetate holds the number for day thirteen.
Day fourteen has a piece of cardstock added in extra as well. This time gold and kraft.
The back of the card and day fifteen with is a four pocket page.
Day sixteen is the reverse of that four pocket page, seem to have missed several of the final pages in the way of photos! On the left is a white card stock page that I added in again and cut it smaller vertically this time. And day seventeen on the right with the numbers added to a white square die cut.
A close up of day nineteen.
And the tag I stamped day twenty one onto.
Day twenty two and twenty three.
And a splash of red for day twenty four.
Day twenty five starts with another cut down acetate page.
And I’ve left a few spare pages at the back with a few cards slipped inside.
So there we go. Not too much pre-preparation just enough to give me a jumping off point for each day.
Two days to go…. yay!
